Play tic-tac-toe and Connect 4 online with a friend, not a bot

Search “tic tac toe online 2 player” and half the results are you versus a script that always takes the center. The other half want an email. I don’t want either.
The old paper-game sites (papergames is the cleanest of that bunch) got this right years ago: share a link, drop stones, leave. Get One Spot does that, plus you can bounce to a different game in the same room when the third tic-tac-toe draw starts feeling personal.
How it works here, without a tutorial overlay:
One person creates a room. You get a six-letter code. Send getonespot.lol/invite/YOURCODE. Friend joins. Host taps Tic-Tac-Toe or Connect Four. Both hit Ready. Three-two-one. You already know the rest.
Tic-tac-toe is first to a win on the board, then you rematch or you don’t. Connect Four is the same idea with gravity. Illegal moves don’t go through — if the column is full, it’s full. Don’t mash.
Gomoku and Reversi are in the same lobby if you want to pretend you’re cultured. Checkers too. I’m not cultured. I go back to Connect Four.
Why not a random “2 player games” portal full of soccer flash games from 2011? Because those are usually two people on one keyboard: WASD versus arrows. Fine on a laptop at a cousin’s house. Useless when your friend is in another city.
Private room also means you can talk on the phone while you play. Or not talk. Some of the best Connect 4 games I’ve had were silent except for one “oh come on” when the fourth disc dropped.
If the board looks empty after Ready, refresh once. The room code stays. You’re not creating a new one unless you hit Home and start over.
Open a room on Get One Spot and send the invite. Forty 2 player games, no download.
